  • Routing and remote access Server 2003 Help

    Hi All,

I have had Routing and remote access setup for Months now, and have been trying to get it working fully with a new Smartphone which can connect but cannot access any resources like http://servername on the intranet however since yesterday the RaRAS server has been acting strange, I have not made any changes to it but with the RaRAS enabled the server is unable to access any URL's on the internet, it can acess local intranet sites, and any other computer on the network is unable to access the server.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled RaRAS but the issue remains, any ideas?

    Thanks!

i am not the ras expert but...

check if some fw is enabled (user cant access it) and do you share some folder that user can access it?

and get to sites on the internet sounds like some dns problem
try to ping some sites... like google

I dun really understand your situation.
But it should be your network configuration and/or routing having problem.
Can other computers connect and access to the resources?
Your RAS enable routing within for remote client?

If you have a microsoft press 70-291, it should help you.

      Else

For the time being you may want to read up from the link...

Thanks for the reply, Everything works when connected to the RAS on the PDA except the intrante sites (which work on Windows XP Systems). so it seems to be a issue with the PDA's handling of VPN's.

As for it dropping the connections, touch wood, the system has been up for 18 hours and appears to be working OK at present.
