  • Logon Active Directory Server2K with WinXP Pro

What is the favour for WinXP Pro workstation to join active directory domain?
If I leave it stand alone and map drives with local script (batch file) I can save on the server2k domain.
This question is about the time that winXP have to logon is about 2 minutes without roaming profile and logon locally about 3 secondes

Have you checked the profile to make sure the user isn't saving to the Desktop and thus blowing the profile size out?
    1 1 was a racehorse.
    2 2 was 1 2.

I think that I resolve the problem!!!
In the workstation I put just in DNS the IP of my win2k server and in the DNS server I Configure DNS forwarders:
        http://www.grape-info.com/doc/win200...ard/index.html

and this speed up my login in the Active Directory Domain Win2K server from 2 minutes to 10 sec.

You mean to say that your clients used your ISP's DNS servers and NOT your internal DNS?

That is not good. I'm glad you figured it out.
