  • User admin in exchange

    A few of our users are leaving and I was wondering If it was possible to delete there acount but also have a custom message to inform people whom email them there new contact details ?

    Why not just set-up an Out of office reply from the user with thier new contact details, leave this enable for a period of time (say a month) and then remove the account after that.

    I am pretty sure you can disable the account as well and Out Of Office replys will still work - but maybe some can confirm this.

      Thanks m80arm....

      This is what i would do in most cases. But we have people coming in to so it will use there CALS up this is why they need to be deleted.

        ahhh, that makes sense.

        To my knowledge there is no other way around this.

        Others may have a suggestion.

            Actually, not
            A CAL is only used up by a real person or a real device - thus is a real person never logs into that account any more (ie only OOF works and the account is disabled) a real person cannot authenticate therefore no CAL is used.
