We have an application that runs on Microsoft SQL but we are installing the app on a Microsoft Windows 2003 server (configured with a Terminal Server role). As the PDC is SBS 2003 (Standard) We are planning on purchasing MS SQL 2000 and installing it on the MS Win 2003 server. The Win 2003 server is of course a member server under the SBS. Seems to me that this solution will work without interference from SBS but I am not 100% convinced that I am correct.
    Thanks for any input

    You are 100% correct!
That is the standard way to install LOB apps that are to be on a Terminal Server. Make sure you use RWW (Remote Web Workplace) to take full advantage of working with the second server, also.

Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.

We donít stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.
