  • VPN protocol PPTP on SBS 2011

I would like to connect remote offices to our SBS 2011 server and enquiring if it is possible to do that on SBS2011.

Please provide steps to install or configure it.

    yes. It's possible.
however, you might be better doing a proper site-to-site using the routers.

    basic instructions:
    1. Configure NPS / RRAS on the SBS server to your requirements
(Heaps of detail on how to do this online, JGI)
    2. port forward port 1723 from your router to SBS server, plus whatever other things may need to be opened for your sites

I would do it using routers personally. It used to be quite straightforward in Server/SBS 2003 but changes to RRAS made in Server 2008 make it a lot more complicated.

The vast majority of routers now support some sort of VPN, even the cheapie Netgear DG834 has IPSEC site-to-site capability.
