  • Permissions for "Allow" and "Deny" are both checked

Permissions for "Allow" and "Deny" are both checked and grayed on some folders/files on a Windows 2011 SBS.

I have no idea how this situation occurred or what to do to resolve it. I am logging in as the administrator / domain admin and have full rights to the domain. I discovered this situation when backups started to fail due to "access denied" errors.

This is, as stated, a Windows 2011 Essentials Small Business Server with SP1. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have attached an screenshot showing the problem.

I wonder there is a vbs o batch file out there to list a network share permission first then add new permission if the group is not in the permission set.
