  • New SBS 2011, constant high CPU usage

I have installed a new SBS 2011 server, ran all the wizards and it seemed to work fine.
After having it running (and not using) for a day, I see that the CPU usage is constantly high.
    See image.
In processes I see that it's SQL Server that uses most of it.
How do I find out why it's so high and how do I reduce this?

    what sort of processor ?
it's probably SBSMonitoring - but you'd need to work out exactly which instance of sqlsrvr it is

Yeah, but I know nothing about SQL, I am a Windows man.

        check taskmgr.
get the process ID of the SQLSrvr.
use task mgr to tie that process back to the service
check the service name. It will tell you which instance it is (mssql$sbsmonitoring is the main one i think)

I was too anxious and did a reinstall, now I do not have the high CPU usage anymore, but now the updates sync doesn't work, which I will create a new topic for, if needed.
