  • two clients are not getting updates

I installed 3 new clients (fresh installs of Win7 Pro) on our SBS 208 system. 1 is working perfect with WSUS while two others are not. The SBS system appears to be talking to the clients but the clients are not seeing the need updates even when refreshed from the client side.

I removed them from the domain and reattached them with the http://connect functionality.

I should I remove them from the WSUS server side system and re-http://connect?

Again it seems the server side is doing it's just the clients are jut saying they don't see any needed updates. I can force them to check the web and find updates.

Check that all three clients appear in the Client Updates Group Policy.
Check that all three also appear in the standard WSUS console.
    TIA

Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.

We donít stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.

Thanks for your time. The offending clients do appear in the WSUS console and I'm not overly familiar with GPO "stuff" but I do see the clients listed in the Update Services Client Computers Policy shown in my attached screenshot. Is this what you are referencing?

Worth nothing all my 40+ clients in WSUS say that 5 updates have not been applied and that they are 99% updated. Only two of those machines show in the daily report stating 5 updates are missing...although on the client side they claim to be up todo (as mentioned before).

I have a feeling the 5 missing updates is global and only the 2 clients are reporting this in the daily SBS report. So not really know where I stand!
