  • Admin blocked from user files

    Hi,

I couldn't see an answer to this elsewhere so here goes.

We have recently replaced our SBS 2003 server. It is now stand alone.

All user data was copied off it to the new server. However a handful of files (protected wages/payrole ones) could not be copied by the administrator. I have tried to give the user who created them admin privilages so he can copy the files to a data stick and retrieve them, but whatever I try he still can't login to the server. Equally, whatever additional privilages I give to the Admin account it still can't copy the files.

Can someone tell me what I need to do to either the user account or the admin account to allow access to the files. I don't care about security. The server is not used now. I just need to access the files (so we can get paid!!!)

    Thanks,

    Richard
