  • POP3 / Exchange problem

    Hi everyone,

    I have a small problem that occured recently.
    SBS2003 with 17 users, last user added about a week ago.

    Newly created user doesn't receive emails sent from outside.
    Local delivery works fine but every message sent from outside goes to the administrator as specified for undeliverable mail delivery.
    I tracked a few messages using System Manager and these are the results:

    From: [email protected]
    To: [email protected];
    [email protected]

    Event table shows as follows:

    SMTP: Message Submitted to Advanced Queuing
    SMTP: Started Message Submission to Advanced Queue
    SMTP: Message Submitted to Categorizer
    SMTP: Message Categorized and Queued for Routing
    SMTP: Message Queued for Local Delivery
    SMTP: Message Delivered Locally to [email protected]
    SMTP Store Driver: Message Delivered Locally to Store to [email protected]

    Newly created user which is always an original recipient can't get these messages. Server is updated. This affects only one user.
    Does anyone have any ideas ?

    There few option in SBS to get mail:

    1. Get SMTP connection from outside and forward it to the correct mailbox.
    The server responsible to manage emails.
    The user should have correct SMTP address on the user account properties
    under active directory users and computer.


    2. Setup POP3 connector to download email from the ISP.
    ISP mail server responsible for manage email and you just download
    it as regular ISP account to user mailbox.
    To use this methood the user need to have POP3 account in the ISP and
    the SBS should setup to download emails.


    In what "mode" the user email should work and fail?
