  • Old Problem access to redirected folders.

SBS 2008. From this thread http://forums.petri.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=50 I know that I have to unset the "Allow the user...." box. I have done that. Then I need to take ownership of the "Root" folder, change the permissions and give ownership back. I am confused a bit:

    1. What is the "Root" folder? The redirected folders folder on the server to get access to ALL users? Or do I have to do it to each Users redirected folders i.e. Documents and Desktop (underneath the redirected folders folder)?

    2. What other things do I need to do for me to get access to all those redirected folders as Admin on the server.

    Thanks.

I did it using cacls and "adding" not "editting" permissions.
    TIA
