  • Exchange Management Console error: "Global Catalog not found"

    I have a SBS 2008.
I want to export all the users maiboxes. For this I installed Eschange Management Console on a PC with is member of my domain. On this Pc I have WIN 7 X32 and Outlook 2007.
When I try to open EMC I get the following error: "Global Catalog not found."

PS: On this PC I used C:\Windows\System32>nslookup gc._msdcs.% and it returs the name of my DC.

    Any sugestions?

I found the problem. That server was migrated from SBS 2003 and SBS 2008. This caused the problem. I removed CN=First Administrative Group.

You should have IP6 enabled on the network interface on the Exchange server and on the PC even if you are only using IP4. Admittedly, when I solved my problem with this solution I was using Small Business Server but it is worth a go.
