  • Can't open ports on SBS 2008

I am trying to vpn into my server without any success.

I am using mxtoolbox to scan my ports to see which ones are open.

I open the ports in windows firewall. But still cant see them open when I do a port scan. I am also running SEP and the ports are all configured to allow access.

My ISP says that all ports are open on the router.

I ran the wizard from the SBS Console.

you need to make sure port 1723 is open on your router - to test telnet from an external source to port 1723 to see if its open. If the curser blinks your away you should be able to VPN in. Obviously you will need to give access to the account you are trying to VPN in with. As long as you have run the wizard and opened the port on your router - happy days.
