  • SBS2011 NIC status

The motherboard of the server has 2 NICs. One of them is disabled. In systray I've got a network connection icon with red cross over it although all works fine.
    Any ideas why?

IIRC SBS 2011 will not support dual NICs

Yes, I'm well aware of that which is why I've got the second one disabled.

check the NIC propertieas, it may have the option for "display in systray" ticked

No such option unfortunately. I'll have to wait till I get on site and try disabling it in BIOS
