  • SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 Migration issue

    Hi Experts,

I have migrated from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011. Now as per FSMO query it shows that my new server is the domain controller. Also I migrated all the mail boxes to the new server. But when I am shutting down the old server my exchange do not open. Also In the exchange properties it show that both DC and GC are still my old server.

    Kindly Advise

    Regards

    Ajai

Moved to SBS 2011 forum as Server 2003 is not appropriate

IMHO your migration has gone wrong -- what process did you follow?

Re: SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 Migration issue

Did you move/rehome the public folders? the offline address books and free/busy information? Did you then remove the connectors and uninstall the old Exchange?
Did you follow the migration document STEP-BY-STEP? ALL of it?
      TIA
