  • migration error, anony login to blame?

    Good morning guys-

I pray you guys can help me with this migration issue..

    Hardware: Vmware Esxi
Source: sbs2003, updated as per the official migration document
    Destination: sbs2011 std.

Error: "Cannot connect to the domain, verify the domain name and log on credentials are correct"

    Already tried:
    *Searching this forum
    *Google
    *bios time/date on both machines
    *sbs2011 can ping source & source.domain.local
    *updating destinationserver to sourceserver time/date
    *Trying different virtual ethernet drivers
    *making sure FRS is running

I cleared all the logs, and then tried it again:
    Event Viewer > Security
    Type: New Only
    All Success Audits

    Events:
    540, 538, 576..

This is so frustrating, I've been at this for a long time..
I hope you guys can help me with this!

    First things first.

Do both servers have communications working??? i.e. can you ping each server from the other???

        Thanks for the responses guys!

Both servers can ping eachother, both short and full fdqn, and I'm trying to use the migration mode when you boot from the sbs2011 cd
