  • Renamed user account - Check the temp environment variable

    Hi

I had to change a users name yesterday so I went into the SBS 2008 console and right clicked the user and edited the name, username and email

Went to the windows 7 pro workstation and logged in as the user with the changed username but now when I open up Outlook and other apps I get the following error msg

    See attachment

I know where to look for the environment variable which is here

Right click My computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Tab > Environment Variables but I am unsure of what I need to do

I also copied the profile then deleted it and logged into expecting it to create me a new profile but it kept on logging me into the temp profile???

    Any help would be great

    Thanks in advance

Make sure that the user has permissions to read/write where the TEMP envvar points to.
