  • SSL Certs - what to buy

Client's new SBS 2011 server needs 3 different names on the public interface:

    remote.domainname.com
    mail.domainname.com
    autodiscoverdomainname.com

GoDaddy says I should go for the "Multiple Domains - UCC" option. (About $90/yr)

    Sound right to you?

    Thx.

Yuu need a SAN (Subject Alternative Name) certificate -- price looks about right
Just checked GoDaddy and you have the correct one -- considerable savings for several years, though

      Thanks.

      Just checking.

I include the first year in a new server installation, then allow the client to choose the number of years at first renewal.

Keeps things simple while the installation is under way...

      Thanks again.

Do a search on Godaddy for discount coupons. They can save you a few $$$
