    Hello:
I nave been working on trying to set up RWW and installing a certificate. RWW is working fine as long as I connect using https://xxx.xxx.xxx/remote. My goal is to connect using server.ourcompany.net. In any case, I tried to rerun CIECW,where I assume I would install a certificate. Problem is it fails at the firewall configuration. It fails even if I make no changes and simply select make no changes all the way through the wizard. I have ran CIECW in the past when I initially set up e-mail etc, no problem.
    Can anyone assist.
    Thanks

      Re: Ciecw

Simply displays message that says one of the components failed. Shows the component as the firewall. No other message.

        look for logs here

        C:\Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Support\icwlog.txt

You may need to find a suitable directory for your installation though depending. But it should be there somewhere.

          Hello:
Looked in the log. This is the error:
Error 0x8007041d returned from call to Configuring IIS to listen only on the LAN().
Error 0x8007041d returned from call to CStingrayCommit:oGeneralConfiguration().
Error 0x8007041d returned from call to Doing general configuration().
Error 0x8007041d returned from call to CStingrayCommit::CommitEx().

Later in the log file, same error text, but error number 80070425

          Thanks

            Re: Ciecw

MS Error Lookup Tool tells me that 8007041d is one of the following:

            # For DROP STATISTICS, you must give both the table and the

            # 3 matches found for "8007041d"

            D:\err>
I'm going to take a guess, and say it's probably not RES_SMB_CANT_CREATE_SHARE
It's unlikely to be SQL, although it could be.

That suggests that the services aren't responding.

So, are all services running as expected?
And are you running the ciecw as a DA ?

              Re: CEICW

No further help here, but a correction:

              CEICW

              are the correct initials.

To your problem: have you customised IIS in anyway? It seems like you have since "Error .... Configuring IIS to listen only on the LAN()"

My 2003 IIS is configure to listen on (All Unassigned) for the defualt web site. Check yours.
              TIA
