  • Exchange 2007 - Out of Office

    Hello,

One of my client has problems with Out of Office in his SBS 2008.

Out of Office works fine if they uses in internal.
But if someone from external sends a mail, Out of Office doesn't work, and the Out of Office-option to external is enabled in Exchange 2007.

    They uses MX-records, no pop3.
I don't see any error on Event Viewer.

If you need to know something more, let me know and i'll try to answer.

    Autodiscover.
The main reason for OOTO not working externally is autodiscover isn't working. Autodiscover and the availability service connect in the same way.

Unless you have deployed a SAN/UC certificate then SBS 2008 wants you to use an SRV record for autodiscover so that external clients can connect.

    Simon.
