I am trying to configure Exchange 2007 on SBS 2008. the first issue i am running into is the fact that i can't start Exchange Managment Console, I have been able to start it last week but now when i try i get The item exchange management console that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved the only think i did since then is install Anti Virus on the server

I have a feeling that the previous system admin is screwing me, so when i go to control panel to repair the installation , I get this massage “an error occurred while trying to uninstall Microsoft Exchange server 2007, it may have been already uninstalled. Would you like to remove Microsoft exchange server 2007 from the programs and featured list”

    1. How can I verify if Exchange is still installed or not.?

    2. How can I reinstall or repair the installation ?

The first thing I would try and do is install Exchange 2007 SP3. This basically reinstalls the product. Make sure it is SP3 and not SP2.
After doing so, run the fix my network wizard which should verify everything is working correctly.

If you installed AV, then remove it until the server is stable.
