  • Moving E2K from SBS2000 to E2K Enterprise

So here's my goal: We have an exisitng SBS2000 server running E2K and are
deploying a new W2K member server with E2K Enterprise. I want to move the
database/information store/mailboxes to the new E2K server and eventually
remove only Exchange from the SBS2000 server due to it being out DC. What
is the best way to accomplish this. Thanks in advance!

Re: Moving E2K from SBS2000 to E2K Enterprise

This following method isn't supported by Microsoft due software and license limitation.

    You can follow the KB:

    http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;555073

To create a new domain and deploy on it the Exchange 2000 Ent.
btw. The price of Exchange Ent. Is ~4500$ and each CAL may cost ~50$.
You should check if you have license for Exchange Ent. before you start
    to deploy it.
