  • SBS 2003 R2 IE won't show png image for non admin user

    Hi to all.

First of all I apologize for my English.
I need a help from you that you are definitely much more experienced than me.

    Environment:
    SBS 2003 Enterperise Edition SP2
    IExplorer 7
    Active Directory domain environment
Group Policy for each class of users
All user log in in terminal service.

    The problem:

From Monday 08 November all users who are not already in the Administrator group, surfing the Internet Explorer can not display PNG images in the sites both inside and outside the intranet.
Png images instead of viewing the classic icon with a red cross "no picture available.

    Actions taken:
I tried to delete all temporary files and cookies files
I tried to completely disable all the group policy that applies to Internet Explorer
I tried to create a new standard user

But unfortunately all these cases, the problem remains.

I then need you to help figure out what could depend on to be able to resolve this situation.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can or wants to help me.

Enclosed is a printout of the display of google

not necessarily to do with internet explorer.

Can you try downloading a PNG file (right click, save as) onto the desktop of a non-administrative user, then open the file ?

                          try this:
Right click on a PNG file, Open With –> Choose Default Program –> Internet Explorer.
Close IE, then load a PNG from the web via Internet Explorer. It’s there? Good. Close IE.
Right click on a PNG file, Open With –> Choose Default Program –> Windows Photo Gallery.

                              internet explorer:
tools > internet options > advanced
                              Reset to defaults

try it on one user, see if it works
