  • Sharepoint 2.0 and 3.0 document upload issue

    Hello
we have SBS 2003 running WSS 2.0 and 3.0. Sometime ago we started having problem uploading larger document onto both websites. 18k Word doc works fine, but for example 2.9MB doc times out. However one of the users noticed when she logs in via VPN she can upload larger files

    What can be causing this?

    Thank you

Can you clarify please -- are you running both versions of sharepoint on the same SBS server?
Do you really mean VPN (remote connection to LAN, probably via RRAS) or is it by terminal services direct to the server desktop?
Where is the break point after which documents fail?

Have you checked your IIS logs?

Is a different URL used when uploading via the VPN?

I found that it was caused by AVG - thanks so much for your input
