  • SBS 2008 reporting spyware and virus out of date, but it's wrong!

This was working for weeks with my AVG for SBS 2008 product. If you check the AVG Admin Console it says all the clients have up to date software, virus databases and working spyware functionality.

But if you check the Windows SBS Console it says every client is out of compliance for both virus and spyware.

This is obviously a communication or reporting issue between SBS and AVG.

Where do the answers come from the SBS community or AVG on how SBS communicates or recieves the data?

It uses the same technology that the Security Center does.
I have seen this before with most AV vendors and it usually means there is a major version update required.

Your stating that the AVG product needs and update or that a recent update caused the issue?

I do have a ticket into AVG now and they are happy to research it for me via event logs and screenshots. So I'll post any successes or comments on their end in case other SBS2008 see this concern.
