  • IMAP/SMTP turned on?

A quick look at services shows IMAP is turned off by default on a standard SBS2008 install. I'll need this on and have found several write-ups that for exchange2007 showing starting the service and assigning the ceritifcate for SSL.

My only concern is SBS usually should ahve all config done with wizards...so I hate to start clicking things based on a more advanced setup.

Does anyone have the cheap and easy way to get IMAP/SMTP working (with SSL) assuming that I have the right ports open and forwarded on the external firewall.

    thanks.

I'm pretty sure there's no wizard to configure IMAP in SBS 2008 (since it's usually not needed).

Here's a blog post about setting it up but it should be just a matter of configuring the service to automatically start and then verifying the settings are what you want in the server's CAS module.
