  • Change single label domain SBS 2003

I am sorry if this question has been asked beofre, but I could not find a link to it:

Our SBS 2003 (standard) server was installed with a 'Single Lable Domain Name'

Now when I try to migrate to SBS 2008 it wont let me because of the SLDN on the SBS 2003 machine.

Is it possible to change the source domain name from 'domain' to 'domain.local' ?

We just have this one SBS 2003 server with 14 client machines.

      Thanks for the reply TehCamel.

I actually did find after I asked the question here.

I did a clean install of SBS2008 (no migration). I'll just transfer the user accounts and mail over manually.

      I was having a problem with http://connect.
My vista 64bit machine would not connect, but after changing the IP address on my machine to "obtain automatically" I was able to connect to the new SBS2008 domain.
