  • Exchange 2007 install on SBS 2008

    Hi,

    I have a SBS 2008 running I have installed Exchange 2007 on it

    but my emails doesn't send or recieve form exchange only pop3 emails works

    I have added all the roles and features but not sure what settings I missed to revieve the emails.

    ports are open and working as pop3 email works

    Internet works

    Setup exchange emails for the user

    added transport rule
    SMTP servcie is running
    IIS running fine

    What are the settings i should be looking for?

    Hi
    Try running Exchange Best practice Analyzer from the toolbx in exchange management
    start there , afterwards make sure you are fully updated w sp2
    Only thenit will be agood idea to start debug the mail flows

      Have you checked message tracking to see where the messages are getting caught?

      People on the internet can send email to POP3 accounts that are on the SBS 2008 machine? People in your organization can send and receive email form POP3 accounts as well?

      It sounds to me like your send and receive connectors aren't set up properly, but the POP3 element is confusing me just a bit.
