  • perflib warning and WMI event viewer warning

    Hi all,

I'm getting the following warning occassionally on my SBS2008 server.

    Source: WMI
    Event ID: 5612

Windows Management Instrumentation has stopped WMIPRVSE.EXE because a quota reached a warning value. Quota: HandleCount Value: 4185 Maximum value: 4096 WMIPRVSE PID: 5728

    And this other one:

    Source: Perflib
    Event ID: 2003

The configuration information of the performance library "C:\Windows\system32\sqlctr90.dll" for the "MSSQL$SBSMONITORING" service does not match the trusted performance library information stored in the registry. The functions in this library will not be treated as trusted.

The server is running SBS 2008 Premium in a Hyper-V deployment. We have 2x Images and I am getting this one on the SBS 2008 portion.

Any ideas why these messages could appear and also if it is likely to cause problems in the future?

    Thanks

    Hey Spooks,

I know it's been awhile since you posted this, but I was wondering if you were ever able to resolve the issue? I have a server with the same issue and haven't been able to figure it out...

    Thanks,
    Vince
