Can exchange be installed alone or only within sbs.

Exchange is normally installed by itself (must be in a windows 2000/2003 domain evironment).

SBS bundles exchange to make it cheaper for small businesses to implement. I think exchange standard costs about as much as sbs (but there is the limitations of course).

      Re: exchange

Exchange is usually installed on NON-DC server and run from there.

SBS versions of exchange are typically installed on the same server as this is how most small businesses install it. Actually i'm not quite sure if you can remove the exchange install from SBS. Someone else will be able to help with that.

I didn't think you could but you never know.

          Thanks for clearing that up.
