  • SBS 2008 Network Configuration

    I now have a running SBS server and want to ask the following;

    Router IP address DHCP disabled IP Address 192.168.1.1

    Server Single Network Port IP Address 192.168.1.2 DNS & DHCP enabled

    In addition to the above I have installed a secondary 6 port network card.

    I want all Local Traffic to route only through the SBS 2008 server and my configuration consists of below:

    Internet - Router - Server Network Port

    2nd Network card - Network Switch - Internal Systems

    I want all systems and internet traffic to route directly through the SBS server.

    How do I configure this setup to work?

    Thanks

    Ray

    Re: SBS 2008 Network Configuration

    In contrast to SBS 2003, SBS 2008 is not designed to be your router/switch/firewall. Flatten your network and re-design. Or can you give a valid reason why you want 6 subnets?
    TIA
