  • Adding 2nd server to SBS 2003?

    Hi,

I have a small buisness with 10 users based on SBS 2003 .
In order to balance loads I would like to add another server which will be use for other applications.
My question is: Because the DC + GC is SBS, If i will install win 2003 standart on second server, can it be a member server ?
Is there any issues with this configuration?

    Thanks

    Re: Sbs 2003

    User45,

I have added member servers to a SBS domain without a hitch before. Adding it to the domain requires no extra configurations that I am aware of if it is only going be a member server. What role is this member server going to have?

There is no problem adding member servers to an SBS domain/forrest.

Just remember to add using the //<servername>/connectcomputer so that it gets configured correctly and shows up in RWW as an application server.
        TIA
