  • No computers for access listed in RWW

    High fellas!

I have a problem to get the list of usable computers on a SBS2008 RWW.

It is possible to login on the "https://remotesitename"
It is possible to open the Email

The list of computers that have rdp enabled is only available for a user in an admingroup. Dom-Users won't get the list at all.

The dom-users are in all the resp. groups "remote...". I have even tried putting an user in the local groups "Administrator" and "Remote Desktop" of a computer and hoped this one will show up in the list - no luck!

Maybe there is a problem with the IIS-part (tsweb...) of the box? There was a problem with OWA/Activesync and the certs in the beginning that could be solved with the help of MS.

I've checked the setup routines for RWW and am not aware of a misconfig in that field.

I've googled some time - but all the hits aren't the right ones - usually there is a problem logging in at all or getting a real terminal server into the list.

    Any ideas anyone?

After some thinking and combing around I found the solution myself:

I forgot to allow access to a/the computer(s) in

    - Windows SBS Server Console
    -- User and Groups
    --- User
    ---- Properties
    ----- Computer

    Sorry

      Thanks for posting back
Actually, the best solution is to ensure that all computers are connected to the domain via the //connect web site. That ensures all groups and settings are made.

        Hi,

yes I agree - but that was a migration project before and the workplaces were migrated with tools from http://www.forensit.com

In a non-SBS domain I've always made good experience w/it.

        Greetings and shalom

Huh! Either use the technet SBS migration docs or check out www.sbsmigration.com. either of those and you don't (hardly) touch the workstations. So there is nothing to fix.
          TIA
