  • PERMISSION PROBLEM

    HI
    I USE SBS2000 AD WITH EXCHANGE
    XP USERS DONT HAVE PRMISSION TO CHANGE/ADD DETAILS IN THE PUBLIC FOLDER
    I GOT THE MAX PERMISSION TO EVERYONE BUT I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM
    ATTACH JPG OF SERVER PERMISION AND THE ALERT IN THE USERS COMP
    THE USER IS ADMIN LOCAL AND DOMAIN ADMIN

      I don't understand the problem what you have..
      can you explain it?

        i will explain

        the user want to change the detail of the contact in the public folder or add a new contact
        when i press save i got the message that "i dont have a permission to change the value of the contact and i should ask the administrator for permission" - its not the exact phrase - i got the message in heb
        when i klick properties of the public folder -summary to look for the permission the details are in gray and i cant change them

        am i clear??

        the permission at the server are shown at the jpg files

          Login to your Computer as Administrator and open Outlook. Navigate to the desired (Public Contacts) folder and in the folder list click Properties. One of the tabs should be Permissions give every user/group you want permission to create/review/edit/delete as required.
