  • How to know what SBS version

    Respect everyone,

I want to know what version of SBS i'm on.
When i go to system properties on the general tab i see

Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server Service Pack 2

Googling i saw that SBS 2003 with SP2 is not the same as SBS 2003 R2

Should R2 be on the General tap?

It will say R2 if you are running R2, and also the image on the logon screen (or locked computer screen) will show R2.

Geforce is right; if you have R2 it will say R2.

The R2 versions can also be service pack 2 (or not) - R2, you see, is an evolution of the OS with more functions and features. SP2 is simply bug fixes rolled up into a single installation package.
