Well timed... now if only the extra 2GB of RAM for my testing machine would hurry up and get here...

Put your order in now for your next 2GB
          TG RAM is cheap!

3.6GB RAM (only have 4GB) assigned to to in a virtual environment and the bloody thing still won't install. This is silly. Even NT4.0 Server would install with 24MB but need 32MB to run. Haven't we become resource hungry in just 3 O/S releases. (Need to lookup and see what RAM SBS 4.5 required)

The RAM for my test machine arrived yesterday. SBS 2008 Standard Edition takes up all but a few hundred MBs. I wonder how many users/computers it can support with the minimum 4GB of RAM on lower end server (I'm thinking 2.2GHz Opteron) both using and not using Exchange. I'm sure Exchange 2007 is to blame for most of this resource hungriness.

Bonus screenshot: I logged in to my SBS test machine this afternoon and was greeted with a reminder that I'm using a RC1 installation.
