  • SBS Server with 2 Locations

    Greetings,
I have a SBS 2003 Server in our office. We have added a 2nd location and and I thought we could get by at the 2nd location by just using VPNs, but its more of a pain then its worth. Can I add an 2nd PDC for the 2nd location which syncs with the main location?

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    David

You can't have a "pdc" as DYasny states but if you mean can you have an additional DC in a second location then yes you can.

      This is worth a read.

There are a few other links in the SBS forum as well that you should have a browse through too.

No such thing as "PDC" in AD per se - just DC and you can have as many of those as you need in an SBS setting.
Secondly, read this including the comments and you may change your mind about your strategy.
