  • IIS 6 and Directory Listing

I have a simple directory on my SBS box within the default website (http://server/files/). I've set this to allow for directory listing. Authentication is set to integrated windows authentication. Now when a user logs in from outside the network, they get presented with the user/pass box, which when entering correct details lets you in.

Now i can browse the directorys fine. But when i go to click on a file, in this test case it was a PST, i get a 404 error. the same happens for any other files.

    Has anyone any idea's?

    Many thanks

Since it was a PST file, was it open in someone's Outlook at the time, by any chance?

Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.
