  • SBS on each segment with remote access

    Hey there,

I've been searching and searching through forums and it's time to start asking

Please have a look at my attached diagram. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7280821...34514/sizes/o/

I have a SBS on a small LAN connected to the internet VIA DSL. I will be bringing a second SBS that we will migrate to.

What I'd like to do is put a Cisco 2801 router after the DSL modem, put their existing SBS and few user PC's on one of the cisco interfaces, then put my SBS on another Cisco interface. Neither LAN needs to talk to each other.

Can I have it so both SBS's having DHCP turned on? Also, do you have any idea's how I'm going to gain access to the devices VIA internet so I can configure them remotely?

    Thanks for reading!

I am not sure if this is just a migration scenario or a permanent one.
If it is just migration, then you are adding WAY to much complexity IMHO.
If it is permanent one, then just make sure your Router doesn't allow DHCP relay to either side.
But I don't know how you are going to achieve this from remote! There are just too many things to go wrong, to trust remote installation like this.
