  • SBS-Exchange refuses connection

    I have SBS 2003 running.
on a client PC win2000 was crashed.
After a systemrecovery the win2000 PC runs OK, however it cannot connect with the exchange server on any way.
    Other clients work properly
I already added him again to the domain. I can access all shared maps in the active directory.
Since there are many applications running on this client i rather will not make a new install.
    who can help me out

    Regards

    Peter

Woa! too much info missing here!

Post "ipconfig /all" from your 2000 machine to let us see what you have set up.
Is WINS installed on the SBS?
    Is the SBS a GC?
Can you resolve the name of the SBS from 2000 successfully?
Above all, don't panic, throw out a question and expect an instant answer!
    TIA

Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.

I can resolve the SBS 2003 from the DNS.
I can access all shared maps.
I only cannot access the exchange part.

      What is a GC?
      I post ipconfig later

          Re: SBS-Exchange refuses connection

I quitted win2000 Proffessional and installed win XP pro now.

          Now next problem appears:
          PC= refused in domain.
          Domain = Logident (.local)
All other xp-machines work under domain.
On this Machine i get an error as domain does not exist

          logident.local

            Re: SBS-Exchange refuses connection

            Please post your IPCONFIG /ALL.

Active Directory has three types of problems - DNS, DNS, and DNS.

It looks like yours is DNS!
            TIA
