Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.

      Re: SBS 2008 offical websites

      Hi Andy,

Thanks for the information. I've left a post with the other mods to see about adding a dedicated SBS 2008 forum for this and other resources when they come online.

      Thanks

Re: Welcome to the new FAMILY

I have merged these two threads, becase they are essentially the same information. SBS 2008 has been announced and it will be part of the new WESS Windows Essential Server System.
        TIA

Re: Welcome to the new FAMILY

I think MS have stuffed this up. With SBS 2003 and previous you only had 1 choice (ok let's not get into a debate over Standard and Premium) if you had a small user base that wasn't going to grow to more than 75 users. Now there are too many options to consider and that makes the decision making process harder for the client.

Any site that has 250 users should have a full time tech on staff and therefore the UTFW method is not strictly as necessary as it is for the part time office Admin in a 25 - 50 user environment who needs the wizards.
          1 1 was a racehorse.
          2 2 was 1 2.
          1 1 1 1 race 1 day,
          2 2 1 1 2

Don't agree with you here biggles77.
I think even a full time admin has enough to do without spending 10 minutes extra on provisioning a new user, computer etc. Preparing another report for the CRM software or ensuring adequate data recovery plans are better uses of IT staff time IMHO - even for 100 users 1 full-time staff would be getting the run around.
            UTFW for the mundane stuff.
            TIA
