Can I create and use an SSL for OWA and RPC over HTTPS without using an external certificate vendor such as verisign?

    Cheers

    Re: SSL Creation

    Yes... and no...

The self created certificate will work but, for example, Vista does not seem to like it for OWA

Genuine certs cost very little (20 per year or less) so check out some e.g. godaddy.com

      Re: SSL Creation

he's right. for the last year, i have used a self-gen cert to protect my OWA and RPC connections...

unfortualty, i have a growing number of vista clients that cannot access the site due to the problem stated by O above.

you can go with verisign, but thats overkill and over priced. godaddy is a good bet.
