  • End of Support for SBS 2003 SP0 (RTM)

As of yesterday (10 July 2007) the original release of SBS 2003 is no longer officially supported. You are encouraged to update to at least SP1 level to maintain that support.
Those on SBS Standard Edition can download the updates from the MS web site.
Those on SBS Premium Edition should order the required media from:
    http://www.microsoft.upgrade.com/sbs/
I also encourage those on Volume Licensing, to ask their distributor to order them a new set of SP1 media. This is recommended in case of reinstall, updates to system which require media or, worst of all, disaster recovery.

For the brave, you can try adding Windows Server 2003 SP2, but make sure you download a NEW copy tomorrow and read the release notes! Especially http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939421
Issues are related to DELL servers or anything with Broadcom NICs, so READ!!!
    TIA

Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.

We donít stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.

I believe that Windows Server 2003 SP1 is now also on reduced support. so you have to have SP2 to get continued updates and full support.
