  • Add Exchange Server 2007 to a SBS2000 domain

    Hi Everyone!

    My Question is this!

I have a Sbs 2000 domain with exchange 2000 installed on the server (obviously). Because of the restriction of the Exchange Database (16Gb) on the SBS, we decided to add a member server 2003 std with Exchange 2003 or 2007 on it and take out exchange from the SBS.

    1. I never done that so i ask "Is it possibe?"
    2. if yes, how should i do it.
    3. How can i make it work with the SBS 2000 Active Directory.
    4. It is a small office, so instead of migration, can i just export/import pst files.

    Thank You for your answers.

    hi

    even if it is possible
i dont think u should do the following

    remove exchange from sbs
    have sbs2000 with exchange 2007

    the option that left are

migrate to dc2003 with exchange 2007 on diffrent machine
    or
stay with sbs2000 and exchange 2003 on server 2003

Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.
