  • how to set up VPN server

    Hi,

I tried to set up the RRAS server in SBS server, but it just didn't work when I tried to access it remotely. It prompted Error 930: The Authentication server did not respond to authentication requests in a timely fashion.

Can anyone suggest a correct way to set up a VPN? I would like to access the resources in office's server through my pc at home. The server is running Windows 2000 SBS server, and the remote pc is running Windows XP Pro.

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    TKT

      Hi,

I have tried to add the RADIUS clients, but it just couldn't resolve the DNS name when I keyed in one of the users in active directory for it to be resolved in the Internet Authentication Service. I'm using DHCP server from Dlink router modem instead of DHCP server from Windows 2000 server. The DNS is still installed in the Windows 2000 server. It still prompted the same error when I tried to log on remotely.
