  • folder redirection question

I have folder redirection for 'my documents' and the desktop for every user. I notice when a user logs off, it synchs their files. Does it only do this when a user logs off or does it periodically synch them? Are there settings that can be adjusted? I tried to google "folder redirection" and all I got were problems with folder redirection. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

The sync setting are on the XP machines. Start>Programs>Accessories>Synchronize. Go to the Settings Button. You can sechedule them as you like.

As with anything else, anything you can set on the computer, you can also set via Group Policy.

Well ~ Most things can be controlled by GPO, and for sure more than I will probably ever realize. But for Synchronization all I could find was this ~

I could not find a GPO to set Sync for idle times, nor have I found one to set a schedule so sync can be done at night or other of hours.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing a GPO for idle but I'm not experienced enough and couldn't find any info.
