  • OWA / ActiveSync permision issue under SBS2003

    Hello,
    SBS2003 standard
    Exchange 2003 SP1
    I'm experiencing a strange issue for several months already.
    When I'm trying to connect to the http://servername/exchange or accessing through the Activesync, the only user that pass through the authentication is Administrator alone, I've been trying to reset all the IIS default web site through various articles, reseted all the permisions in IIS and NTFS, have seen a lot of suggestions and done most of them but couldn't find the one that could help.
    Wright now I'm after rebuilding back the default IIS Web site, and reconfigured the IUSr_servername and IWAM_servername users's password, and done some security configuration to fit the adjustment.
    using "domain\username"
    Tried to add users to Domain Admins group, without help.
    It writes back that "could not be logged on to the Outlook Web Access"
    Have neither system logs nor application logs.
    Any Suggestions!?

    Did you follow the procedure given in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320202?
    That lets you know how to get both IIS and OWA running. Also you need SSL and certificates to get to OWA in 2003.
    TIA

    Iím honoured to have been selected for the SMB 150 list for 2013. This is the third time in succession (no logo available for 2011) that I have been honoured with this award.

      Thanks.
      I've been trying to avoid the reinstalling of these servers, first I'll try to update the SBS to SP1, my Boss (the owner of Network ITs ) doesn't like the updates, and it's a valuable time that our customers pay for my every hour. By the way the article doesn't mention if i can do it in Under SBS environment.

        Exchange is absolutely regularin SBS if you can do it on Regular Server, you can do it on SBS - not always true with everything, but this time, yes. In another concurrent thread, someone suprised Daniel by showing he had Exchange ENTERPRISE installed on SBS. Something which shows that from that point of view SBS is completely standard as long as you stick within its limitations!
        TIA
