  • Disabling Windows OS Safe Mode

    Hi All,
    I was wandering What is the best practice for disabling windows safe mode in enterprise environment? Do safety standard recommends to disable it?
    I need references. can some one help me in this regard.

    I would think it would depend on the network and the security policies in place. I do not disable it in my domain.

        Just curious as to why you want to disable a tool that can save you work.

          Safe mode is a disaster recovery tool (of sorts) so why would you want to disable it -- if it even CAN be disabled?

            Your servers should be physically secure anyway, so no-one unauthorised should be able to boot them into safe mode. I can't think of any security reasons for disabling it either.

              Holy Cow. Safe Mode has saved my bacon several times.

              I'd be interested to know if anyone has actually achieved this and why they needed to disable it.
              A recent poll suggests that 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not happy
