  • The Sub_files get both access and deny access, Why?

I am making a program about setting a directory and sub_files and sub_directories set/deny ACCESS.
Problem is that once you set a directory and it's sub_files/directories set Access, and then you set deny access, the sub_files get both ACCESS and DENY access.
Is there anyone know why the sub_files can get both set and deny access together, and can solve this problem?

    Thanks.

not exctually sure but do you mean that you set (using a program) the top folders ntfs permissions for some group to have access. and then you set their sub files/folders to deny access to that group and they have both things checked. thats most likely because it has inheret permissions checked and is getting that from the folder above it. deny takes president over allow however so they still wont be able to get to the files.
