  • Forefront DB issue

I am trying to install MS Forefront on our network, using the 6 server topology MS recommends.

Right now i'm trying to install the Collection Database onto an existing SQL 2005 cluster. All of the prerequisites pass OK, but the installation fails now saying: The following process failed.
    Process: C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe
    Exit code: 1603

I'm am installing as a domain admin/local admin and a SQL Admin. I'm not sure what else to look at.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Found the issue. After calling Microsoft, they explained that the current version of Forefront does not support having it's DB's on a SQL cluster. Also the server components cannot be installed on a 64bit OS, but the client will support it.

Thanks to everyone for your help.
